Why external sun protection?
External sun protection is much more effective than curtains or blinds inside. The sun's heat is stopped before it gets through the glass. That keeps your home a lot cooler on hot days.
Zip screen or ordinary screen?
With a zip screen the edges of the fabric run in the guide rails like a zip. The fabric stays taut, doesn't flap in the wind and also keeps insects out. An ordinary screen is a little simpler and cheaper, and perfectly fine for many windows.
Operation
Screens are operated electrically with a switch or remote control. With a sun sensor they lower automatically when the sun is bright. A wind sensor raises them when it gets very windy.
Fabric and colour
You choose from many fabric colours. A dark fabric gives the best view outside, a light fabric blocks the most heat. The box and guide rails can be in the colour of your windows.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a roller shutter and a screen?
A roller shutter is a solid curtain of slats: it keeps heat and cold out, darkens the room and adds security. A screen is a fabric that blocks the sun's heat while you can still see outside. With the Aluprof SkyTwin you have both in one box.
